On November 25, the annual meeting of the John Paul II Foundation took place at St. Stanislaus Kostka School in Greenpoint.
As tradition dictates, the meeting began with a prayer led by Fr. Jarosław Lorenc. This was followed by the reading of the minutes from the 2011 general meeting, the president's report, and the financial report. Reports from individual board members followed, along with discussion, the audit committee report, the election committee report, and the election of a new board.
Sincere thanks go to the 2011 Foundation Board, which, by promoting the teachings of John Paul II and working charitably, devoted their time and talents to this cause. This year, as a result of the general vote, a new board was elected to serve for the coming year. The new board members are: Mieczysław Pająk – President, Barbara Ślaska, Adam Jakubowski, Jadwiga Kawa, Jadwiga Kruk, Grażyna Jarosz, Bożena Szawrycka, Roksana Medyńska, Beata Dziewit, Bożena Adamczyk, Zenon Karaś, Mieczysław Skrodzki, Regina Pająk, Wieslawa Kufel, Gabriella Urbanowicz, Anna Kurzyna, Ryszard Szeroszewski, and Jan Bierowiec. There was also a change in the Foundation’s chaplain: Fr. Jarosław Lorenc, who held the role in recent years, was succeeded by Fr. Jarosław Szpilski.
